Summary

The MLA Feedlot program invests in research, development and adoption activities that aim to reduce the impacts of animal disease, improve animal welfare, increase the productivity and profitability of feedlots, reduce operation inputs and costs and underpin the sustainability of the sector.

This Company Managed Agreement (CMA) project is an allocation to cover the costs of developing, printing and distribution of communication materials, which include final reports, Tips and Tools, best practice manuals, videos, webinars, podcasts, product brochures, for the Australian feedlot industry.

The Feedlot program works closely with the Australian Lot Feeders Association (ALFA) to coordinate and distribute these communications materials to support industry adoption of research outcomes and to build industry capability.

Objectives

Communication of the outcomes of feedlot related research activities is an important extension activity for the feedlot program. It supports industry adoption of research outcomes and builds industry capability, directly addressing Red Meat 2030 industry adoption priorities.
