The Integrity Systems Company (ISC) was established in 2017 to be the delivery agent for key initiatives that underpin the integrity of the Australian red meat sector. It is currently a 100% subsidiary of MLA. As part of the 2015 SAFEMEAT Initiatives Review that led to the formation of the company it was recommended a review of the ISC be undertaken after 3 years to determine if reform is required.

Objectives

  • Assess whether the ISC structure and program delivery meet the requirements of the 2015 SAFEMEAT Review and ISC’s constitutional objectives.
  • Determine the SAFEMEAT Review recommendations impact in the context of ISC’s structure through the lens of governance, funding and service delivery.
  • With a reform analysis, include detailed outline of appropriate transition process, key dependencies for success, timeline.
  • Deliver a series of recommendations to address any identified limitations in the current ISC structure, funding and program delivery, including risks associated with any structural reform.
  • Complete the review and deliver a presentation to the MLA Board findings and recommendations.
