Summary
The purpose of this project was the writing of the MSA 2022–23 Annual Outcomes Report, MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights Report 2021–23, and producer written case studies.
Objectives
The objective of the project was to assist in writing the MSA 2022–23 Annual Outcomes Report, MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights Report 2021–23, and producer written case studies.
Key findings
Both of the reports have been valuable tools to provide stakeholders with the progress and investment outcomes of the program across the supply chain. They are also used in producer engagement to provide an update of trends in compliance, MSA index, sheepmeat as well research focus to enable more sheep and cattle to be graded.
Benefits to industry
Both the Annual Outcomes and MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights reports have been widely recognised as valuable by stakeholders and are utilised in a range of activities across the supply chain, including producer education.
MLA action
Meat Standards Australia published both the MSA Annual Outcomes and MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights reports.
Future research
The MSA Annual Outcomes Report is required every year and the MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights Report is released every second year.
