Summary

While the field day provided producers with plenty of information, the project objectives were not met. It was envisaged that participation in the Lower Murchison Pastoral Brestpac Group project would provide much needed information and skills for rangeland producers. Following the field day, the group also developed a number interests including:Investigating methods of finishing pastoral lambs to avoid seasonal risk factors;Opportunities for feedlots on stubble;Opportunities to visit processing works and live export depots; andBenefits of developing a quality assurance program to improve productivity and ensure on-going Market compliance.
