Summary

The Southern Livestock Adaptation 2030 project uses a range of modelling tools to assess livestock adaptation strategies under different climate change scenarios. The project used a combination of research, extension and livestock production skills drawn from CSIRO, the University of Melbourne (UoM), Primary Industry or Agricultural departments from all southern states together with livestock producers from at least 17 regions.
As the project concludes in mid 2012, MLA has commissioned this short review of the project to independently:
- Evaluate progress thus far
- Highlight critical activities that need to be actioned over the remainder of the project
- Identify gaps that may provide research or extension opportunities in the longer term (next 3 or 4 years)
