Livestock 2020 - Big Issues New Partnerships is a new event that will build on outcomes and achievements of the Sheep CRC to engage leading sheep and cattle producers and livestock industry RDE&A service providers. Keynote presenters will identify the big challenges and opportunities facing the sheep and cattle industries in southern Australia over the next 10 to 20 years. Having identified future challenges and opportunities, the forum will explore how
research and development organisations, the private sector and industry organisations might collaborate and co-invest to deliver the desired outcomes.

Session 1 - Exploring the opportunities and threats

Keynote Speakers:

  • Mick Keogh (ACCC): Managing risks in the economy and in the livestock industry
  • Natalie Isaac (MLA): Megatrends impacting society in the future
    James Rowe: Sheep industry of the future - gaps and unfinished CRC business
  • Rod Polkinghorne: Cattle industry of the future - gaps and opportunities

SALRC Awards and Virtual Drinks
